When I try to purchase the battery you recommend, the website notes that they cannot ship batteries overseas . Is there any solution for it? You may be able to use a locally purchased battery …December 4, 2018
Is there a requirement for the power density of the device (1.5W/cm^3)? In the most recent Technical Reference Document nothing was specified for the power density of the device. We do not have a power …December 3, 2018
In the most recent Technical Reference Document the speed limit of 3000 rpm was specified. This appears to be in contradiction with the required 300Hz output of the E-drive. Will we still be required to …December 3, 2018
The eBike motor only (not a kit) is in stock for $220 at Luna Cycles. https://lunacycle.com/cyclone-mid-drive-ebike-motor-with-freewheel-sprocket/November 20, 2018
Anaheim event will be a power point presentation from each of the teams, updating their progress. No need for hardware show-and-tell. The e-drive should be a single mechanical package, containing control interface, sensor interface, battery …November 13, 2018
The back emf data given in page 5 of technical reference released on November 8 seems to be wrong. It says 37V vb Line to neutral . It should be Line ot Line . With …November 13, 2018
Friday Nov 30th will be the extended deadline for the proposals.November 13, 2018
How was the phase inductance measured, as the given value (0.21mH) is atypically small for a 3kW BLDC motor?
Updated information is on the technical reference document.November 8, 2018
Is the nominal battery voltage 48V? You stated on your website that the battery pack consists of three 12V lead-acid batteries connected in series. This would make a 36V battery, which differs from what you specified in the Request for Proposal.
Battery pack consists of four 12 V batteries connected in series. Error in the entry has been corrected.November 8, 2018
How does the electrical frequency of 30Hz correspond to the mechanical speed of 600rpm if the motor has 6 pole pairs (as it is cited in the recent update of the technical reference document)? The same question applies to 300Hz and 6000rpm.
Motor has 8 poles. Information updated in the technical reference document.November 8, 2018
In the technical reference is states that the number of pole pairs is 6 which means 12 poles. It also states that when the motor is spinning at 6000 rpm or 100 Hz that the …November 8, 2018
On page 3 of the Technical Reference Manual under “Signal Connector to control”, “Throttle Signal” can be Speed, Torque, Motor Current or Power Regulated. But on Page 4, Point 13 “Throttle Control details” it is …November 5, 2018
Each of the registered teams will receive two separate e-mail messages links (about ~12 Nov 2018) to Box folders at their preferred e-mail address specified in the letter of intent/registration page. One of the e-mail …November 5, 2018
